Cobourg Police – Male Arrested on Warrant for Theft x2 (No Name Released)

A 31-year-old Oshawa man is facing charges after police investigate reports of theft from two businesses in Cobourg.

In June and July of 2023, the Cobourg Police Service commenced an investigation into thefts at two local Cobourg businesses. A person of interest was identified through video surveillance.

As a result of the investigation, a warrant in the first was issued. On Sunday, August 27, 2023, police arrested a 31-year-old Oshawa resident, charging him with two counts of theft under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime.

The accused was released on an undertaking with a court date scheduled for September 27, 2023
