Cause of Diesel Fuel In Cobourg Harbour Still Unknown

The Town of Cobourg is still investigating the cause of a fuel leak by the north wall in Cobourg Harbour.

The spill was discovered during the evening of Monday, July 24, 2023.

On Tuesday and Wednesday environmental clean-up process took place throughout the day and by Thursday all that remained are the sea booms.

At this point it’s unknown the cost of the clean-up, but the bill will be invoiced to the Town of Cobourg.
