White Ensign Raised Commemorating The Battle of the Atlantic

Sgt. At Arms Don Ramsey and Royal Navy Veteran Don Ashfield raise the white ensign at Branch 133 in Cobourg on Tuesday, May 2, 2023.

The raising of the white ensign was to commemorate The Battle of the Atlantic was the longest continuous battle of World War II.

The first Sunday in May has always been deemed as a remembrance of The Battle of the Atlantic.

On Saturday, May 6, 2023 Cobourg Legion is having their annual Battle of the Atlantic Dinner which is also a Coronation Dinner for King Charles.

Ramsey served in the Royal Canadian Navy along with his father who served from 1940 to 1945.
