Cobourg Police – Cobourg Woman Charged with Uttering Threats (No Name Released)

A 68-year-old Cobourg woman is facing charges after a police investigation into a reported threat.

On Thursday, April 13, 2023, police opened an investigation after receiving a report of an allegation of harassment. The complainant reported receiving a threatening package and note from a former employee.

As a result of a police investigation, a 68-year-old Cobourg woman was arrested and charged with the following offences:

1. Uttering Threats, contrary to section 264.1(1)(a) Criminal Code of Canada (CCC)

2. Harassing Communications, contrary to section 372(3) CCC

The accused was released from police custody with a future court date on May 24, 2023.
