Work Shop Goes Up in Flames East of Gores Landing

Workshop goes up in flames in Hamilton Township on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.

Smoke could be seen from the north side of Rice Lake  from the fire on Traill Road, just east of Gores Landing at approximately 2:15 p.m.

Three fire stations from Hamilton Township responded to the fire along with a tanker from Alnwick/Haldimand Township.

Where crews arrived the work shed (approximately 40′ x 20′) was engulfed in flames.

There were no injuries and the cause is believed to be accidental.
