The second-round Ontario Hockey League playoff series between the Kingston Frontenacs and Barrie Colts is heading to a seventh-and-deciding game.

Cobourg’s Ethan Miedema and the Frontenacs staved off elimination Sunday night in Kingston with a 3-2 overtime win over the Colts and Port Hope’s Dalyn Wakely.

The home team has won each of the first six games as Barrie took a 2-0 series lead before Kingston answered back with two straight victories in their arena.

Back in Barrie on Saturday evening, Wakely scored a second-period goal in a 2-1 overtime victory and leads the Colts in playoff points with 18.

Game 7 is set for Tuesday night in Barrie as either Wakely or Miedema will continue on to the Eastern Conference final with their respective club against the Oshawa Generals.
