Grand Reopening of Port Hope McDonald’s will Support Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation

In Upcoming Events

The team at McDonald’s® in Port Hope is gearing up for the grand reopening of the restaurant’s dining room on March 24-26, 2023. In an effort to give this celebration a community-focus, this weekend will also raise funds for Northumberland Hills Hospital (NHH) Foundation. McDonald’s will be donating one dollar from every meal sold over the weekend, excluding Happy Meals®, in support of the hospital’s Maternal Child Care Unit.

“We’re grateful to have generous community partners like McDonald’s,” says Rhonda Cunningham, NHH Foundation Chief Executive Officer. “With a busy obstetrical program, staying current with the equipment necessary to serve families in our community is imperative.

We’re excited to have McDonald’s step forward to organize this event and help raise funds to support the purchase of Newborn Bassinets.”

“The last few years have heightened our appreciation for our community hospital and we are grateful to all of its incredible staff,” says Lisa Wilson, Owner and Operator of McDonald’s restaurant in Port Hope. “We are excited to welcome the community to see our renovation and raise funds in support of such an important cause.”

In addition to one dollar from every meal sold (excluding Happy Meals) being donated, McDonald’s will also be collecting donations for the Foundation. Those who visit the Port Hope location at 175 Rose Glen Road North between March 24-26, 2023 will have the opportunity to donate to this fundraiser, which will support the purchase of four Newborn Bassinets.
