King Street West from Cobourg Creek bridge to William/Ontario Street

The Town of Cobourg Public Works and Engineering Division would like to inform residents of upcoming construction taking place on King Street West from Cobourg Creek bridge to William/Ontario Street.

Gas Main Work
Beginning on Monday, March 30, NPL Canada (approved contractor working on behalf of Enbridge Gas) will start relocating a portion of the existing underground natural gas distribution main along King Street West, from the Cobourg Creek easterly to William/Ontario Street.

The work is expected to take approximately 10 weeks to complete. Enbridge Gas and the Town of Cobourg has distributed notices to all properties located within the Phase 1 area.

Throughout the gas main relocation, access to properties will be maintained for both vehicular and pedestrian traffic. At times, King Street West may be reduced to a single lane to accommodate the work; however, two lanes will be reinstated at the end of each working day.

Traffic flaggers and signage will be in place to facilitate the lane restrictions.

Enbridge Gas will be working to coordinate with property owners affected by the service replacement work in advance, who will experience a short interruption to gas supply. Further details are provided in the notice to property owners.

Asset Management – King Street West Reconstruction (Burnham St. to William/Ontario
