Port Hope Panthers Take Series Lead with Win in Frankford

With two straight wins, the Port Hope Panthers have taken the lead in their Provincial Junior Hockey League Tod Division playoff series against the Frankford Huskies.

The Panthers earned a 6-4 victory Saturday night at the Frankford Arena to go up 2-1 in the best-of-seven showdown.

Nathan Ford and Cole Kimble each scored twice for Port Hope while Carter Clarke, who also had two assists, and Isaac Langdon added single markers.

Goaltender Sam Dingle made 34 saves in net for the Panthers.

Frankford won the series opener 4-0 Wednesday night with the Panthers collecting a 5-3 victory Friday evening. The first two games were played in Port Hope.

Game 4 is set for Tuesday at 6:50 p.m. in Frankford. The series will shift back to Port Hope for Game 5 on Wednesday night. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Jack Burger Sports Complex.
