Transport Cab Goes Up In Flames in Cobourg

A transport cab went up in flames early Friday morning in Cobourg.

At approximately 6:40 am on Friday, December 9, 2022, Cobourg firefighters were dispatched to the area of 580 Ontario Street immediately north of the railway tracks for a vehicle fire.

When crews arrived on scene the cab of the transport was engulfed in flames.

Damage was confined to the cab which was totally destroyed.

At this time firefighters believe a block heater was the cause of the fire.  There is no damage estimate.
