Cobourg Firefighters Help Kids At Home Depot During Fire Prevention Week

In Community, Local

A number of children came out to Home Depot on Saturday, October 15, 2022 to construct a fire boat with the help of Cobourg firefighters.

As part of Fire Prevention Week activities, Home Depot had a number of fire boats for children to build with the help of firefighters.

This was the first time the store has had a build in over a year due to COVID.

Home Depot has regular monthly builds for children with different themes each month. If parents would like to sign up their children they can call or drop in to Home Depot.

Outside the store, children were also able to get a close up look at the fire trucks.

Home Depot, Department Supervisor, Stephanie Hall also presented the fire department with 24 carbon monoxide/smoke detectors.
