Pickup Collides With Tree East of Cobourg

The driver of a pickup truck received minor injuries after the pickup he was driving collided with a tree east of Cobourg.

At approximately 2:40 p.m. emergency services were dispatched to County Road 2 just west of Pentecostal Road for a pickup that had struck a tree.

One witness told Today’s Northumberland the pickup truck was heading westbound when it went into oncoming traffic, then into the south ditch where it travelled a considerable distance before striking a tree.

Cobourg Fire Department along with Hamilton Fire Department, Northumberland County Paramedics and Northumberland OPP attended the scene.

The driver was treated and released at the scene.

The investigation is continuing.
