City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service – Person Charged with Impaired Driving (Name Released)

On Saturday August 20, 2022 at 3:15pm, the Kawartha Lakes Police received a report of a possible impaired driver. A concerned citizen call after observing a vehicle driving in the ditch in the area of Monarch Road and Colborne Street West.

The driver of the vehicle proceeded east on Colborne Street West, when it struck a vehicle stopped at the intersection of William Street North.

Officers attended the area and while speaking with the driver determined her was impaired and placed him under arrest.

49-year-old Jeffrey Murray of Oakwood has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs and two charges in contravention of the Highway Traffic Act.

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on September 29, 2022.
