Cobourg Kodiaks to Face Six Nations in Major Series Lacrosse Playoffs

In Sports
The Cobourg Kodiaks are preparing to compete in the Major Series Lacrosse playoffs for the first time.
With only four teams competing this season, the Kodiaks (2-10-0) were guaranteed playoff games this 2022 campaign. They’ll face the first-place Six Nations Chiefs (8-3-1), the team they earned both wins against this season.
Six Nations will host Game 1 of the best-of-seven semifinal series Wednesday night. Game 2 is scheduled for Friday at 8 p.m. at the Baltimore Recreation Centre. The Cobourg Community Centre is unavailable due to the ice being installed.
Tickets will be available at the door, but the Kodiaks are anticipating a sellout so tickets can also be reserved in advance by e-mailing tickets@cobourgkodiaks.ca.
The Peterborough Lakers (7-5-0) and Brooklin Lacrosse Club (6-5-1) will square off in the other semifinal. MSL was limited to four teams this season due to the ongoing legal dispute regarding the relocation of the Brampton franchise to Owen Sound. When the start of the season was delayed, the Oakville Rock opted to not play tho year.
