Durham Region Police – Female Charged with Luring in Oshawa

A 23-year-old Oshawa female has been charged with luring a 15-year-old male online. 

 

In March 2022, investigators from the Child Exploitation Unit began an investigation after receiving information about the online luring of a youth from Oklahoma, USA. DRPS was assisted by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) in locating and safeguarding the victim. 

 

The suspect was arrested on Thursday, May 12, 2022.

 

Courtney CROSS-ROBINSON, age 23, of Oshawa, was charged with Luring to Facilitate the Commission of Accessing Child Pornography; Exposure to Person Under 16 and Accessing and Possession of Child Pornography. She was held for a bail hearing.

 

Investigators want to ensure there are no other victims. The suspect was previously employed in an organization which dealt with youths aged 15 to 17. The offences occurred over several social media platforms. Usernames associated to this investigation include; ‘dragonqueen’, ‘drnkcookiemonsta’ and ‘court123_always’.
