Northumberland United Way Invites You to Join Community Conversations Around Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion

In Community, Upcoming Events

Northumberland United Way, in partnership with United Way Hastings and Prince Edward and a host of community organizations are celebrating diversity this April with four Community Conversations on equity, diversity, and inclusion.

The sessions held across Northumberland County, Hastings County, and Prince Edward County will be conversations to learn alongside our community to better understand diversity and inclusion locally and how to develop calls for action to create more inclusive and equitable communities. The sessions will include panel members who will share their experiences on the topic of ‘Diversity in our Community.’

All sessions are free.

The end result for this project will be the creation and distribution of a community action plan that brings together what was heard in the conversations, the recommendations that came out of the conversations, and how and who should take ownership over the different elements of the recommendations.
