Video – Northumberland OPP – Robbery Investigation in Colborne

(CRAMAHE TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating a robbery that occurred on King Street in the Village of Colborne at approximately 5:00pm this afternoon.

The masked male suspect entered a business and demanded that the employee open the cash register. The suspect stated that he had a gun but a weapon was not observed by any witnesses. The suspect fled on foot prior to the cash register being opened. Officers attended and searched the area but the suspect was not located.

There is no ongoing threat to public safety.

Members of the Northumberland OPP Crime Unit and Central Region Forensic Identification Services (FIS) are continuing to investigate. Anyone who may have witnessed or has information regarding this robbery is asked to contact the Northumberland OPP Detachment at 905-372-5421 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
