Peterborough County OPP – Traffic Stop Leads to Multiple Charges

Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to numerous traffic complaints regarding an aggressive driver on Highway 7 at approximately 1:00pm yesterday afternoon. The vehicle was travelling at 135km/h in an 80km/h zone when it was located by officers. Further investigation revealed that the driver was in possession of stolen property and did not have a valid driver’s licence.

Sabrine TURKI (age 32) of Montreal, Quebec was arrested and charged with:

• Dangerous operation

• Resist peace officer

• Identity theft-obtain or possess another person’s identity information

• Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime-under $5000

• Race a motor vehicle-stunt

• Possession property obtained by crime-under $5000

• Drive motor vehicle-no licence

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on March 10, 2022.
