Peterborough County OPP – Drivers Facing Charges After Fleeing Police

Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a trespassing complaint on Dillon Road at approximately 11:00pm on October 29, 2021. The complainant reported that three vehicles were driving on his crop fields. Two of the vehicles fled after they were located by officers on Keene Road. Officers were able to stop one of the vehicles on Highway 7. The operators of the other vehicles were identified. Two are facing multiple charges.

Cole HUBBLE (age 18) of Peterborough, Ontario was arrested and charged with:

• Flight from peace officer

• Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code-two counts

• Driving while under suspension

• Fail to comply with Probation Order-two counts

• Obstruct peace officer

• Enter premises when entry prohibited

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on December 22, 2021.

A 16 year old driver from Cavan-Monaghan Township was arrested and charged with:

• Enter premises when entry prohibited

• Fail to stop for police

• Class G1 licence holder-carry front seat passenger

• Class G1 licence holder-unaccompanied qualified driver

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on December 6, 2021.
