Northumberland OPP Investigating Fatal Collision in Brighton

On October 14th 2021, at approximately 9:50 p.m., members from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a serious collision involving two vehicles, in the area of Telephone Road and Middle Ridge Road in the municipality of Brighton.

As a result of the collision, Jesse MINNIE (age 18) was transported to a medical facility where he was pronounced deceased.  

The section of roadway will remain closed for several hours while OPP Technical Collision Investigation (TCI) members continue to investigate the cause of the collision. If you witnessed the event, or have any information, you are encouraged to contact the Northumberland OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
