In Editor Choice, Local, Police Blotter

The Ministry of Natural Resources called for Port Hope Police on Monday night September 28, 2021 for a intoxicated male falling in and out of the river.

When police arrived they escorted the male to the ambulance as it was cold after being in the water.

The male began resisting police and kicked the officer in the mouth.

As a result the accused, Arson Piloyants of North York was charged with assaulting a peace officer, and being intoxicated in a public placed.

Piloyants will appear in court to answer to the charges in late October.
