Evening Fishing Along the Ganny in Port Hope

Anglers lined the east side of the Ganaraska River on Friday night (September 17, 2021) fishing for salmon.

It was hard to find a parking spot in some areas and some anglers set up tents or roped off areas. From 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. there is no fishing in the downtown area, but south of the viaduct, anglers enjoyed a beautiful evening of fishing.

For those that had no luck on the water a nearby restaurant was offering up, what else, fish and chips.
