Van Crashes Through Wall Trapping Occupants in Cobourg

Two people were trapped in a van after it went through a wall in Cobourg on Saturday, September 11, 2021

.At approximately 1:50 p.m. emergency services were called to the area of 165 Division Street in Cobourg.

A van with two occupants was backing up in a garage to unload an appliance when it suddenly accelerated and went through the back wall of the building.

The two occupants were unable to remove themselves from the vehicle. Firefighters stabilized the vehicle and worked to remove both the driver and passenger.

But occupants were checked over by paramedics and released.

There are no charges as the collision occurred on private property.
