Qunite West OPP – Name of Teenager Involved in Fatal Collision Released

The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a fatal collision involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian.

On May 6, 2021, at approximately 4:35 p.m., Quinte West OPP were dispatched to the intersection of King Street and Dufferin Aven ue in Trenton where it was reported a youth on a scooter was struck by a vehicle. 

Christopher BISHOP, 14 years old from Quinte West was transported to hospital by paramedics in critical, life threatening condition and was later pronounced deceased.

King Street near Dufferin Avenue was closed for several hours while the OPP Technical Collision Investigation (TCI) and Reconstruction teams investigated the scene.
