Forklift Strikes Worker in Port Hope

Emergency services responded to Gilmer’s Home Hardware Building Centre in Port Hope on Wednesday after a worker was struck by a forklift.


At approximately 1 p.m. emergency services responded to the rear of the business after a forklift was backing up and struck a worker.


The worker was transported to Northumberland Hills Hospital with a lower leg injury said Port Hope Police.


The Ministry of Labour is investigating.
