Gorgeous Winters Day at A.K. Sculthorpe Marsh/Waterfront Trail in Port Hope

In Local, Weather

It was a beautiful winter’s day to be outdoors on Sunday, January 31, 2021 in Port Hope.

All along the A.K. Sculthorpe Marsh/Waterfront trail there was outdoor activity taking place.

COVID-19 is taking it’s toll both physically and mentally on all of us, but it just felt good to be outside.

Two friends rode their big tire bikes from Cobourg to Port Hope along the lakeshore stopping briefly to carry them over Gage’s Creek before riding down the shoreline.

A number of people also took a stroll along the trail, while families were having a great time on the ice.

Maybe a future Toronto Maple Leaf, other a number of parents were skating with their children around a pathway.

Nearby friends were playing a game of shinny.

The ice was large enough that everyone was doing their best to social distance and there were plenty of smiles which was also a welcome sight.
