HKPR District Health Unit – Outbreak Declared at Cameco Fuel Manufacturing

The Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit has declared the following outbreak:

Cameco Fuel Manufacturing, Dorset Street Location – Port Hope, Ontario

The outbreak was declared today after a third staff person tested positive for COVID-19.

Based on provincial guidance, the outbreak was declared after it was determined the workplace was the exposure site for the third case.

Cameco is working closely with staff from the HKPR District Health Unit to support case and contact management at the facility. As well, Cameco administration is implementing all outbreak
control measures including additional environmental cleaning, and infection prevention and control measures to help contain the spread of the virus
