Port Hope Police – Cruelty To Animal

Port Hope Police are investigating an animal cruelty matter. On the 18th of August a resident in the Stanley Drive area reported her cat had been injured.

The cat was roaming the neighbourhood and when it returned him the owner noted the cat’s paws were bloody.

The owner took the cat to a veterinarian who confirmed the cat’s claws had been removed. This is the second time this cat has returned home injured. Port Hope Police are asking for anyone who may have information in this matter to contact Port Hope Police at 905-885-8123 ext 142, email phps@phps.on.ca or contact crime stoppers.

The cat was treated and released to the owner.
