Quinte West OPP – Assault With A Weapons Charge

On Monday August 24, 2020, shortly before 11:00 p.m. officers from the Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a weapons call that allegedly took place near the skate park on Couch Crescent in the City of Quinte West.

The police investigation revealed that a female victim met with the suspect using an online dating app. When the victim attempted to end the date, the suspect allegedly threatened the victim with an edged weapon. The victim was able to get away uninjured.

Police arrested the accused a short time later at a residence on Stella Crescent in Trenton.

Skyler BOISCLAIR, 26 years old, from Trenton has been charged with:
Assault with a Weapon
Forcible Confinement
Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
Resist Peace Officer

The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing today at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.
