Pedestrian Walkway In Downtown Cobourg Becoming More Popular

In Community, Local

Downtown Cobourg continues its pedestrian walkway this weekend from July 31st-August 3rd.

On Saturday, patios were extended and downtown stores offered sales on numerous items enticing people to come downtown and enjoy the area.

The next pedestrian walkway in downtown takes place on August 21st-August 23rd.

Interim Board Chair of the DBIA, Adam Bureau said a lot more people came to downtown adding that the weather was more comfortable than the first pedestrian walkway.

“I think they are realizing these weekends are more safety oriented.”

With no vehicle traffic it makes it easier for people to socially distance and all the patios and stores are accessible to everyone.
