Durham Regional Police – Images Released of Stolen Trailer

Police are releasing surveillance images of a suspect vehicle involved in a trailer theft.

On Friday, June 26, 2020, at 4:54 a.m., police were called to the OWASCO RV dealership on Rundle Road in Clarington regarding a stolen trailer. A male driving a silver pickup truck was seen on security cameras stealing a trailer from the lot. The vehicle with the trailer attached drove away northbound on Rundle Road.

A responding officer observed the suspect vehicle pulled over on Rundle Road and he activated his emergency lights. The driver of the truck drove toward the cruiser, causing the officer to swerve to avoid a collision. The suspect fled the area.

A short time later, the trailer was located abandoned on Bloor Street, east of Harmony Road.

The suspect vehicle is described as a silver Ford F350 Dually or similar.

Anyone with new information about this incident is asked to contact D/Cst. Bycok of the East Division Criminal Investigations Bureau at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 1605.
