Northumberland OPP – Cannabis and Cash Seized During Warrant Execution

On Friday March 27, 2020 members of the Peterborough/Northumberland Community Street Crime Units (CSCU) of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) with the assistance of the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the Provincial Joint Forces Cannabis Enforcement Team (PJFCET) executed two Cannabis Act warrants.

The warrants were executed on two adjoining properties located on County Road 2 in Cramahe Township west of the town of Brighton.

Investigators located an extract ion lab on the property and seized an estimated $124,000 worth of cannabis derivatives, along with approximately $50,000 in cash.

Ronald FORGET (age 51) of Cramahe Township, Ontario was arrested and charged with the following offences:

Alter or offer to alter the chemical or physical properties of cannabis by the use of an organic solvent

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000

Possession of illicit Cannabis

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on a scheduled date in June 2020.
