Port Hope Police – Domestic Dispute/Road Rage Leads To Assault

Charges laid after domestic dispute.
1.A 29 year old Grafton man is facing charges after Port Hope Police received information about a domestic dispute that occurred on Saturday December 7th . Police were told the victim described as the man’s former partner was assaulted by the man at their residence in Port Hope. The assault occurred during an argument that became heated. The incident was reported to Police on the 10th of December and the man was arrested shortly after 11:00am and is charged with assault level one. No names will be released in order to protect the victim’s identity.

Road Rage incident leads to an assault. Police seek help in identifying the driver.
Port Hope Police are investigating an assault that occurred on Queen St Sunday afternoon. Police received information the victim was following a vehicle down Queen Street when the driver of that motor vehicle motioned him to pull into a parking lot. The victim pulled into 24 Queen St when the other driver exited his vehicle and accused the victim of tail gating. He then punched the victim in the face several time and then pushed him down and kicked him. A female in the other vehicle yelled at the man to get in the vehicle and they left driving south on Queen St. Injuries to the victim was considered minor in nature as a result of the assault.
The man is described as being in his late 30’s 5’8”-5’10” medium build with short brown hair and an orange sweatshirt and blue jeans . He was driving a Gold coloured Buick SUV no licence plate was obtained. Police are asking anyone with information to email phps@phps.on.ca or call 905-885-8123 extension 142.
