Pickup Takes Flight In Highway 401 Collision At Port Hope

Two people were sent to hospital following a dramatic collision on Highway 401 at Port Hope on Saturday, December 7, 2019.

A pickup truck with three occupants was traveling eastbound on Highway 401 when it left the roadway just east of the off-ramp at Rose Glen Road at approximately 11:23 pm.

The pickup continued at a high rate of speed and when it hit the embankment for the on-ramp it went in the air and over the guardrail landing on the on-ramp heavily before going into the ditch.

The two passengers were taken to hospital. The driver was not injured. The investigation is continuing.
