It was an evening of musical reflection as the Highway of Heroes Tribute Concert was held at Trinity United Church on Saturday, November 9, 2019.

The event was put on by the Cobourg Legion Pipes & Drums with all proceeds going to Cobourg Legion Branch 133.

It was a extremely special evening as the pipe band was joined by the Concert Band of Cobourg for a number of selections of music.

There was also a number of special performances by members of both bands including Chris Devlin, Graham Taylor and organist/pianist Debbie Fingas.

A number of veterans from the Afghanistan war were also in attendance and took part during the evening including Rob Martin, Sergeant Todd Cane (retired) and Master Corporal Colin Fitzgerald (retired) and Silver Cross mother Dianne Knight.

Kerri Tadeu and Fitzgeral highlighted how they adopted the entire section of the Highway of Heroes and spoke about cleaning the highway each year.
