Cobourg Is Open For Business With Province Investing In Post Foods Canada

In Local

The Ontario government is helping make Cobourg open for business and open for jobs by investing in the province’s food and beverage processing sector.

David Piccini, Member of Provincial Parliament for Northumberland-Peterborough South, announced Post Foods Canada is receiving $412,700 to expand production capacity for non- geneticallymodified bran flakes and organic raisins, creating 47 new jobs and retaining 317 positions in its Cobourg and Niagara Falls plants.

“Since taking office, our government has sent a clear message that Ontario is open for business and open for jobs,” said MPP Piccini. “We’re creating an environment where businesses can focus on what they do best — developing great products and services and building successful companies. It’s great to see Post Foods invest in new technology to grow their business while creating jobs and boosting the economy of Cobourg, and Ontario as a whole.”

Post Foods Canada Inc. produces, markets and distributes cereals for the United States and Canada.
