Northumberland OPP Investigating Theft Of Gold Bars Valued at Over $1.1 Million Dollars

(CRAMAHE TOWNSHIP, ON) – Crime Unit members from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating gold bars and coins that were reported missing from a Cramahe Township residence on April 28, 2019.

The theft is believed to have occurred sometime during the month of April 2019. Reported missing from the residence is approximately $4,000 in American currency, gold bars and coins worth approximately 1.1 million dolllars.

The Northumberland OPP is asking for the public’s assistance with this ongoing investigation and would ask that anyone with information to call their nearest OPP detachment at 1-888-310-1122. For those people that have information and would like to remain anonymous, they can contact the Peterborough/Northumberland Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) where you may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000 and not have to appear in court.
