Breaking News – Vehicle Catches Fire After Collision With Welding Supply Truck In Cobourg

One person was taken to hospital following a two vehicle collision on Brook Road North in Cobourg on Wednesday, May 29, 2019.

At approximately 3:37 p.m. two vehicles were travelling north on Brook Road North, a welding supply truck slowed at the railway crossing and was struck from behind by a SUV.

Both vehicles crossed CN and CP railway crossing before they pulled over. The SUV caught fire, but the driver of the welding supply truck quickly grabbed an extinguisher and put out the fire.

The driver of the SUV was taken to hospital with minor injuries. No word on charges.
