Teachers For Kids Family BBQ At CCI In Cobourg

In Charity, Photo Gallery

The local chapter of the Teachers For Kids held a Family BBQ at Cobourg Collegiate Institute on Saturday, October 13, 2018.

The charity has been operating for over 20 years and local teachers Christine Broomfield who teaches at Colborne Public School and Laurel Merriam who teaches at CR Gummow in Cobourg have been running the chapter for the students in the local public school board for approximately eight years.

The goal of Teachers For Kids is to provide anything they may need for school including tutoring, money extra curricular activies, glasses, shoes, basically anything that supports them in school.

On Saturday, live entertainment was provided by Little Lake, there was a silent auction table, face painting, pumpkin painting, cupcakes and a photo booth all for a donation.  Gus’s Grill 2 Go offering up a delicious barbeque with half the proceeds going to Teachers For Kids.
