Another Business Reports Break-In – Nothing From Cobourg Police

In Local, Police Blotter

Another downtown business in Cobourg stated they were the target of a break-in recently.
On September 24 shortly before 2 a.m. the store’s alarm was activated and police were notified.
The employee arrived before police and contacted the alarm company from inside the store, then exited the store and waited for police to arrive.
Police entered the premises at approximately 1:56 a.m. by the stores security cameras.
Video shoes the business was entered at approximately 1:30 a.m. and the suspect spent at least 15 minutes inside the business prior to the arrival of the employee and police.
Today’s Northumberland has viewed the video, but because it could interfere with the investigation has decided not to post it online.
Police have had a copy of the video since shortly after the break-in but it’s believed there have been no arrests and police have not released a photo of the suspect or any information on the investigation.
