Cobourg Police Service is investigating two residential break and enters that were reported on Hornbeck Street on July 24, 2026.
The first report was received at approximately 5:30 p.m. after a homeowner returned to their residence and discovered evidence of a break and enter. Jewelry and other valuables were reported stolen.
A second report was received at approximately 8:00 p.m. at another residence on Hornbeck Street after homeowners returned home and discovered signs of a break and enter. A quantity of jewelry was reported stolen.
Police will be conducting neighbourhood canvassing in the area and are asking residents to review any available surveillance, doorbell camera, or dash camera footage from July 24.
Anyone with information or video footage in the area is asked to contact the Cobourg Police Service at 905-372-6821. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), submitting a tip online at stopcrimehere.ca. Tips submitted through Crime Stoppers may be eligible for a cash reward.
