Man and Woman arrested for Theft

The Cobourg Police have arrested a man and a woman after responding to a theft in progress call at a local business.
On Sunday the 22nd of July, 2018, at approximately 4:30 pm, police responded to Strathy Road for a report of a theft in progress in which a man and woman were last seen getting into a vehicle. Police located the vehicle in the parking lot of the business at which time the occupants were placed under arrest.
As a result of the police investigation, 27 year old Crystal Sparks of Peterborough was charged with theft under $5000 and Possession of Property obtained by Crime while 28 year old Peter James Munro of Cobourg was arrested on a warrant and charged with Breach of Probation. Both parties were released on Promise to Appears with upcoming court dates as well as Officer In Charge Undertakings with conditions.
