Durham Police – Firearms and Drugs Seized During Investigation

A recent investigation conducted by the DRPS Gun & Gang Unit led to the seizure of three firearms and a quantity of drugs.

On July 4 and 5, 2018, officers conducted a drug trafficking investigation at a residence in Oshawa. A search warrant was issued at a residence and buildings on Hall Street, where officers located a .22 calibre prohibited handgun, a .22 calibre modified homemade rifle and a 12-guage shot gun. The search also yielded a quantity of ammunition, drugs and drug trafficking paraphernalia.

During the search, the accused and co-accused returned home and were arrested. They were found in possession of a quantity of cocaine and marihuana. Four people were charged in connection with the investigation.

Cameron WILLIAMS, age 18, of Hall Street in Oshawa, is charged with: Careless Storage of a Firearm x3; Contravention of Storage Regulation Section 117(h) of the Firearms Regulation Act x3; Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm x3; Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized x3; Possession of a Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition x2; Tampering with a Serial Number and Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking. He was held for a bail hearing.
 
A 17-year-old female from Oshawa is charged with: Careless Storage of a Firearm x3;
Contravention of Storage Regulation Section 117(h) of the Firearms Regulation Act x3;
Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm x3; Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized x3; Possession of a Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition x 2; Tampering with a Serial Number
and Possession of a Schedule II Substance. She was held for a bail hearing.
 
Tevin CAMERON age 21, of Valley Drive in Oshawa is charged with: Trafficking a Schedule I Substance. He was held for a bail hearing.

Georgina REID, age 42, of Oxford Street in Oshawa is charged with: Possession of a Schedule I Substance. She was released on a Promise to Appear.
