Cobourg Firefighters Respond To Fort Fire In Woods

Cobourg firefighters didn’t have far to travel when a citizen stopped by the firehall indicating there was a fire in the woods one street over from the firehall at shortly after 3 p.m. on Elgin Street.
Firefighters responding could see the smoke coming from a wooded area. Firefighters quickly entered the area and soon found the fire was a fully involved fort that was built in the woods. With the amount of pop cans, and plastic water bottles it appears the fort was used often
