Murdoch Mysteries Returns to Film In Port Hope

The popular television show Murdoch Mysteries has returned to Port Hope to film scenes for season twelve’s, episode 1205.

Set in 1907 Ontario, Murdoch Mysteries explores the intriguing world of William Murdoch (starring Yannick Bisson), who pioneers advanced forensic techniques to solve the most challenging crimes. Season twelve of the Murdoch Mysteries will begin airing on the CBC network Monday, September 24, 2018.

Exterior scenes were be filmed on John Street between, Walton Street and Augusta Street, and on Augusta Street between John Street and Pine Street South.

On Thursday morning the cast was filming at the entrance of Hotel Carlyle on John Street.

During filming there were horse and carriages on the street and brief intermittent traffic control on John and on Augusta Streets but the film crew were extremely gracious to their fans signing autographs for some lucky people.
