Man Arrested for Assault and Threatening – Port Hope Police

A 20 year old Port Hope man is facing numerous charges after Port Hope Police responded to a family dispute in the Municipality’s east end.  On the 7th of May shortly before 6:00pm Police attended the residence to investigate the complaint. Police received information that alleges the male, during an argument with other persons in the residence threatened them with a knife. He is also alleged to have smashed items in the house causing damage.  Police arrested the man at the scene.  He is charged with Assault with a weapon, uttering threats to cause bodily harm, mischief to property and breach of probation. He was held in custody pending a show cause hearing.
