Man In Critical Condition After Vehicle Collides with Tree in the Municipality of Port Hope

In Local, News

One person is in critical condition after the car he was driving slammed into a tree in the Municipality of Port Hope.
A motorist noticed the wreckage while driving on County Road 65 just north of Osaca shortly before midnight on Thursday and called 9-1-1.
Northumberland OPP, Port Hope Fire Department and Northumberland County Paramedics responded to the collision.
It appears the lone occupant of the car was travelling northbound on County Road 65 and appears to have lost control just north of the 6th Line on a curve.
The vehicle went into the west ditch and it appears the roof struck a large tree.
Port Hope firefighters removed the roof to extricate the man and he was taken to Northumberland Hills Hospital in critical condition.
Police are unaware of when the collision took place or how long the vehicle was there as there were no witnesses.
County Road 65 was closed for several hours while police investigated the collision.
