The annual migration of steelhead/rainbow trout makes their way up the Ganaraska River in Port Hope to Corbett’s dam. Monday, was the busiest day this year as hundreds of fish made their way through the small channel and up the Ganaraska River. The town of Port Hope becomes very popular with tourists and anglers that come to watch the fish migrate during the season. Fishing season opens April 28 in the area.
