Collision Highway 401 West of Cobourg

A transport truck jackknifed into the ditch just west of Cobourg on Highway 401 in the early morning hours of Saturday. Emergency officials decided to leave the big rig where it was until daylight when a two crew was brought in to remove the transport trailer and cab. A film crew from Heavy Rescue 401 was also on scene documenting the recovery. The westbound on-ramp at Burnham Street was closed until the debris was cleared which was around 12 p.m. on Saturday.
