Exclusive – CPK Interior Products Makes Brief Statement Concerning Layoffs

CPK Interior Products Manager Director confirmed the layoff of numerous employees.

On Friday, November 14, 2023, over half the work force was told they would be dismissed at the company on Peter Street in Port Hope.

Today’s Northumberland reached out to the company for comment.

Manager Director Ted Castle said in a e-mail, “CpK Port Hope will be temporarily laying off some of its employees at the end of 2023, to coincide with the retooling of the Stellantis Brampton Assembly Plant. The Company is actively pursuing other business opportunities and is working with the United Steelworkers to mitigate the impact.”
